2024 Recap

So long 2024.
I chose to start this past year without many goals for my art. The one thing I did set out to do was to carve out more time to create. I can proudly say that is what 2024 was for me. I made time and I am truly grateful for what this year has produced.
A few accomplishments from this year:
• I have produced more works of art this year than any previous year. In total, I carved 15 prints, a 60% increase from last year! Crazy to think!
• I took my work to two art shows this year (after not showing in over two years)!
• I finally finished an illustrated children’s book (this is the second book I have illustrated) for an amazing nonprofit that helps children work through their grief.
• This year I completed my largest print commission ever! I bit off way more than I could chew, but I didn’t back down, and despite some major hiccups along the way, the project was completed on time.
• I am currently working with two clients on branding for their new businesses, which I love.
• In addition to all of these things, this is not in my personal creative wins, but I could not be more proud of the Creative Team I work with because they also crushed some demanding and innovative projects this year. I am so thankful that I get to work alongside them each and every day to produce the amazing work that we do.
I learned a lot and shed a few tears along the way, but I am super proud of what I accomplished in 2024 and look forward to some exciting things next year (more on that later).
There will always be things I wish I could do, but this is a helpful marker to see how far I have come and that even if it feels like only a little bit, I am growing.
Happy New Year! Here’s to another creative year!
