It's hard to put into words what the launch party has meant to me for Reviving Sacred Beauty.
After months of sketching, carving, printing, reflecting, and praying over this collection, getting to finally share Reviving Sacred Beauty with so many of you was an incredible gift. There is something so special about seeing artwork leave the studio walls and begin conversations with the people who experience it.
A sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with me.
Whether we had the chance to talk about the symbolism behind the church windows, discuss the printmaking process, or simply catch up over the course of the evening, every conversation reminded me why I love creating art in the first place. Art isn't meant to exist in isolation. It's meant to invite people in, to ask questions, spark reflection, and create moments of connection.
Watching so many people spend time with each print, noticing the details, sharing their interpretations, and engaging with the themes of beauty, truth, restoration, and hope made every hour spent carving worthwhile.
This collection has been deeply personal from the beginning. It grew out of a desire to explore the beauty of the Church, the importance of craftsmanship, and the role artists can play in pointing people toward truth through their work. To see those ideas resonate with others was more encouraging than I could have imagined.
I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey... whether you've collected a print, shared my work with a friend, read the blog posts, or simply encouraged me along the way. Every bit of support has helped make this collection possible!
Some Highlights
A few of my personal highlights from the launch party:
- The event coordinator purchased my largest and most expensive framed piece, confirming the new collection resonates beyond my existing audience
- Connected with The Arts Council president
- Sold 9 original prints (4 of which were framed), 18 boxed card sets, and several other small items
The list could go on, but I am truly blown away by the love and support this collection has brought!
Grateful and Appreciative
A huge thank you goes to Ashleigh of Ashleigh Newnes Photography for beautifully documenting the evening. These photographs capture not only the artwork, but the joy, conversations, and community that made the night so memorable!
I'm also so thankful to Onyx & Alabaster for graciously hosting the launch party and creating such a welcoming space to share this collection. It was the perfect place to celebrate what has been months in the making.
