Southern Red-billed Hornbill

This original ink drawing is of a Southern Red-billed Hornbill on gray paper. This one-of-a-kind piece will never be reproduced, ensuring its exclusivity.

When a female Southern Red-billed Hornbill is ready to nest, she seals herself inside a tree cavity using mud, food scraps, and droppings, leaving only a tiny slit open. The male then brings her food through the opening while she incubates the eggs and cares for the chicks, creating one of the bird world’s most unusual nesting strategies!
